Artisan Interiors, an Italian Story...

The company Artisan Interiors evolved out of my late father's business Marino Furniture; a well known name in Italian furniture circles. My father, Alan Geoghegan, was one of the first furniture suppliers to go direct to Italy and nurture strong relationships with Italian companies.

From a simple wholesale importer he grew his business, despite many health set backs, into a strong company based here in Ireland synonymous with high quality. As he grew the business he became an important furniture agent representing some of the most famous Italian brands here in Ireland, such as Porada, Giorgetti, Flexform, Cabiate Produce, FRAG, Angelo Cappellini, The Giorgio Collection, Mantellassi 1926, just to name a few... He worked closely with many leading Interior designers throughout the island to achieve the best results  for their clients by having access to such important entities.

My father, Alan, created a special space or emporium for his customers here in Ireland to come and browse many of the stock pieces he built up over years by trading with such companies rather than having to travel to London or further afield....
These stock pieces give the customer a chance to appreciate the quality of what is meant by Made in Italy. He fused this with the ability to have access to many important design and high quality reproduction companies. Clients can purchase one of the many pieces from stock at a vastly reduced price or indeed purchase direct from Italy and have the piece made bespoke.
My father had a great eye for knowing who was the best company to work with and who could best realize that product for you. He was fearless in his pursuit of getting the best possible result for his dedicated customers. He was much loved and respected and because of this Alan will always be sadly missed.

Marino Furniture, Ballybrack Village, was built on the old Dwarf Oaks site. Built by my father in the early '90's.

Artisan Interiors today. A continuation of a family tradition....

My name is Keith Rowan Geoghegan. As the present owner of Artisan Interiors, I have continued to work as my father did and try to achieve the best possible arrangements for my clients here in Ireland. My focus is to listen carefully to my clients and try to ascertain their needs. Whether to achieve best quality/price relationship or indeed find the right company who can competently realize their dream project for them. I source and liaison directly with the Italian companies. By working diligently and patiently with the client, or with their dedicated interior designer, in conjunction with their Italian counterpart, to achieve the best result possible. My knowledge of the Italian language and culture helps achieve a strong working relationship with Italy.

Why shop at Artisan Interiors?

Artisan Interiors is a specialist supplier for Italian furniture - medium to high end. I do not keep a high end showroom at an expensive location.
Rather I operate from our family warehouse in D11 DH77. This way all overheads are much much lower so I can give a better, more competitive price without sacrificing quality or giving long ridiculous delivery times. I prefer to give the best price I can and push my clients towards better quality products, Especially sofas, beds and sofabeds, as they do have a lot of wear and tear and should be made to stand the test of time. I use specialist fast reliable furniture transport companies and generally I deliver the product personally to the client to ensure they are satisfied and iron out any hiccups if in the extreme off chance they present themselves. I still source many one off pieces sold from stock at special price compared to re-ordering in price...

For over twenty years now I have also worked in the background as an artist - namely urban landscapes - large canvases realized in oil. Images are initially charcoaled up and rendered and then painted - based on locations that I regularly visit. I get my inspiration from my time spent in Milan, north Italy. Its industrial urban form let me explore internationally common themes present in urban places.
